Greggs to open new distribution centre in Kettering
Greggs is to open a new distribution centre in Kettering as it looks to expand its supply chain due to its growing number of shops in the UK.
Expected to be operational in the first half of 2027, the new facility at Symmetry Park will encompass 311,551 square feet of logistics space on a 25.1-acre plot.
Greggs said it will be designed to a BREEAM ‘Very Good’ standard and will meet Net Zero Carbon in Construction requirements.
The move forms part of the food-to-go retailer’s ongoing investment in its supply chain as it continues to expand the Greggs estate from 2,500 to over 3,000 stores.
Developer Tritax Symmetry is also seeking planning permission for an additional 100,000 square feet of space to enable Greggs to expand the site further.
Last month, Greggs announced that it was investing in a new state-of-the-art frozen food manufacturing and logistics facility in Derby.
