Greggs appoints new non-executive director
Food-to-go retailer Greggs has appointed Nigel Mills as a non-executive director with immediate effect.
Mills is a former chief executive of Hoare Govett and was also chair of corporate broking at Citi Group, where he advised a range of companies including consumer brands. He currently holds the senior independent director role at both John Wood Group and at Persimmon.
Matt Davies, chair of Greggs, said “We are delighted to welcome Nigel to the board. He brings with him expertise in financial markets, investors and governance, and invaluable experience of providing independent challenge.”
Greggs said it intends to appoint Mills as senior independent director following the close of its AGM on 17 May when Sandra Turner steps down from its board.
