Dobbies appoints Robert Cook as board advisor for its restaurant business
Garden centre retailer Dobbies has appointed Robert Cook as a board advisor to support the development of its restaurant business.
A former chief executive of TGI Fridays, Cook has also previously headed up Virgin Active, Malmaison and Hotel du Vin.
David Robinson, chief executive of Dobbies, said: “Robert has worked for some of the biggest and best names in UK hospitality and we’re delighted to have him share that wealth of industry knowledge and experience with us. Cook added: “Dobbies restaurants have something for everyone, serving thousands of customers every week. Dobbies has 77 stores across the UK and employs 3,800 people.
