Deliveroo appoints former M&S and Tesco executive as CFO

Deliveroo has appointed former Marks & Spencer and Tesco executive Scilla Grimble as its new chief financial officer.

Currently holding the same role at MoneySupermarket.com, Grimble is expected to take up her position no later than June 2023.

Prior to joining Moneysupermarket.com in 2019, Grimble was interim chief financial officer at Marks & Spencer where she was also director of group finance. She has also previously held a range of senior finance and leadership roles at Tesco.

Claudia Arney, chair of Deliveroo, said: “I am delighted to welcome Scilla to Deliveroo and the board is confident that her highly relevant skills and experience will help us to take advantage of the significant opportunities before us and will be invaluable as we continue to build our business.”

At Deliveroo, Grimble will succeed Adam Miller will be stepping down as chief financial officer and as a director of the business on 17 September 2022.

Arney added: “The board thanks Adam for all he has done for Deliveroo during his time here, from helping guide the business as VP of strategy to taking on the interim CFO role at a critical time, and then as CFO helping us through COVID and navigating the IPO.  Adam has shown immense commitment and dedication to making Deliveroo successful.”

Prior to Grimble joining, Deliveroo’s VP of investor relations David Hancock will serve chief financial officer on an interim basis whilst continuing in his current role.
