Deliveroo appoints chief business officer for the UK and Ireland

Deliveroo has appointed Carlo Mocci as its chief business officer for the UK and Ireland.

Reporting directly to the company’s chief executive Will Shu, Mocci will be responsible for running Deliveroo’s UK and Ireland markets.

Mocci has spent the last seven years working with Amazon where he led the Amazon Fresh and Prime Now businesses for Europe and Japan. He also previously had responsibility for the company’s UK health and beauty business. Prior to that, he worked with McKinsey for 13 years where he was a partner and a core leader of the retail practice.

A Deliveroo spokesperson said: “This is an incredibly important role for our business. Carlo brings with him an enormous wealth of operating experience. He has the experience and mindset to help us achieve our goals of delivering a fantastic consumer value proposition to all different types of consumers, as well as continuing to develop new partnerships with restaurants large and small across the UK and Ireland.”
