Covid-19 crisis: Aldi eases product purchase limits

Aldi has eased most of the temporary purchase limits it has placed on products due to the coronavirus crisis.

From 31 March, the only products with purchase limits of four per customer will include:

  • Antibacterial wipes
  • Hand wash and soap
  • Shower gel
  • Bleach
  • Toilet tissue, kitchen towel and tissues
  • Nappies
  • Pasta
  • Canned tomatoes, canned beans and sausages
  • Part baked bread
  • Beers, wines and spirits

In addition, three products will have limits of two per customer.  These include:

  • Antibacterial hand gel
  • UHT milk
  • Baby formula

Aldi said: “While we would still encourage people to buy only what they need, product availability in store is good and the move will make it easier for people to shop for vulnerable people and those who are self-isolating.”
