Company Shop Group bolsters senior team
Company Shop Group has bolstered its senior team with the appointment of Adam King as marketing director and Sinead Healey as finance director.
King has 15 years of FMCG experience both in supply chain roles and marketing and creative positions. He previously worked as community director at Samworth Brothers where he led the company’s community strategy, which included collaborating with Company Shop Group and its award-winning social enterprise, Community Shop. His career has also included stints at Mars UK and Noble Foods.
Meanwhile, Healey has over 13 years of retail industry experience, including three years spent at Morrisons in various senior finance positions. She also previously worked for ten years at Mamas and Papas.
The hirings follow Owen McLellan joining Company Shop Group as group managing director in January.
McLellan said: “At an extremely exciting and ambitious period for our business – and such a critical time in the fight against food waste and food insecurity – we are really pleased to have Adam and Sinead joining our team.
“Working with retailers, manufacturers and brands, we are committed to reducing food waste and with Adam and Sinead on board we can provide even more expertise to our partners, and deliver more benefits for businesses, people and the planet through surplus redistribution.”
Company Shop offers people working in the FMCG supply chain and key workers access to surplus products from leading retailers and manufacturers at deeply discounted prices. It has 14 stores across England and Scotland.
