Co-op opens first new store of 2025
Co-op has opened its first new store of 2025 in Manchester’s Salford Quays as it accelerates its growth in the convenience sector.
The shop is situated in commercial retail space on the ground floor of the Anchorage Gateway, a 29-story residential development near to the area’s media, education and cultural hubs.
The shop offers a range of fresh produce, food-to-go and meal deals, Fairtrade products, hot food and award winning wines. It also features an in-store bakery, a Costa Coffee Express, and parcel collection and returns through an InPost locker.
In addition, the store will act fulfilment hub for Co-op’s Quick Commerce operation where customers can have items ordered online via Just Eat, Uber Eats and Deliveroo delivered to their door.
Never Miss a Retail Update!The retailer is planning to open up to 75 new stores this year, including both Co-op estate stores and franchise stores. UIt will also be refurbishing 80 existing stores.
