Chapel Down announces board and executive management changes
Wine maker and retailer Chapel Down has announced that Richard Woodhouse will be stepping down as chief finance and chief operating officer at the end of May 2022.
Woodhouse has been a member of the Chapel Down board and leadership team for the last 17 years, during which time he has led the financial and operations functions of the business.
To support Chapel Down’s future growth, the company has also announced that it will restructure its executive leadership team to separate the head of the finance and operations role into two distinct positions and has already started the recruitment process for both roles.
In addition, Chapel Down has announced that Mark Harvey will move from his current role as chief commercial officer to chief marketing officer as the company looks to increase its focus on the development of its premium Chapel Down wine brand in the UK and international markets. Harvey has been a board director at Chapel Down for over five years.
In a further move, Tom Hepworth-Bond will join the company’s UK executive leadership team as UK sales director. Having previously worked with Chase Distillery and Bibendum, he will start his new role from 1 December and will be responsible for leading the sales team and the delivery of trading plans and customer partnerships across the UK off & on trade channels. This will include responsibility for Chapel Down’s growing direct-to-consumer ecommerce business.
