Central England Co-op welcomes new head of food retail

Central England Co-operative has seen Paul Dennis join the business as head of food retail.

Dennis has previously worked with the retailer as head of operations and is re-joining after holding senior leadership positions with Conviviality Retail, My Local Convenience Group and Motor Fuel Group.

In his new position, Dennis will have resposnsibility for all retail operations and store staff across a portfolio of over 260 food stores and petrol stations in 16 counties. He will also manage the retail store proposition and distribution depots.

Dennis said: “I’m delighted to be returning to Central England Co-op and I am looking forward to combining my industry retail experience and former knowledge of the Society to help drive our current and future success as well as supporting plans for continued growth and store development.

“I’m especially looking forward to working alongside our amazing store colleagues again and working with the brilliant central teams to shape the continued success of our great customer offer.”

Central England is one of the largest independent retail co-operative societies in the UK and employs over 8,000 people.
