Central England Co-op embarks on recruitment drive

Central England Co-op is launching a recruitment drive to attract new members.

The retailer said the move follows a spike in the number of customers asking about the benefits of being a co-op member during lockdown.

Benefits of membership include rewards, the chance to win prizes, and the opportunity to help the retailer to contribute to initiatives and worthwhile causes in their local community.

Brad Tuckfield, store manager, said: “Customers throughout the past few months have been telling us how much they like the co-op model and our values and principles and so, today, we are saying why not become a member and be part of our efforts to make a difference.

“All people have to do is pick up a temporary card in store and swipe it at the till to start earning rewards and the chance to win amazing prizes. On top of that members know that every time they shop with us it means we can continue to invest hundreds of thousands of pounds into their local community, something that is more important than ever in these difficult times.”
