Caffè Nero teams up with Uber Eats on delivery service
The Caffè Nero coffee shop chain has teamed up with Uber Eats to offer a coffee and food delivery service.
The exclusive partnership will enable Caffè Nero to deliver to customers from over 40 stores by the end of May. Customers will be able to order coffee, hot drinks and a selection of food to go items via the Uber Eats App or website.
Some 40 Caffè Nero stores are already open for takeaways in the UK following their closure due to the coronavirus crisis. The stores offer a limited menu of items and have clear protocols in place to keep customers and staff safe during the pandemic. All staff working in the stores are volunteers who have requested a return to work.
Will Stratton-Morris, chief executive of Caffè Nero UK, said: “Since we’ve opened some of our stores for takeaway, we’ve seen strong demand for our coffee. We want to be able to help those unable to visit one of our open stores enjoy our coffee without compromising the premium quality. I believe the partnership with Uber Eats allows us to do that and continue to as we open more stores.”
Caffè Nero has more than 800 stores across the UK.
