Bestway opens second dual branded store
Bestway Wholesale has officially opened its second dual branded Costcutter and Bargain Booze store.
The food and drink wholesaler said the shop in Whiston in Prescot has a compelling off license offering with beer, wine and spirit lines complementing Costcutter’s grocery proposition.
The store was the subject of a £100,000 refit to incorporate the ‘store within a store’ concept. The shop also now includes an improved chilled and grocery range spanning Co-Op own label products and a new food-to-go section.
Local Mayor, Councillor Marianne Burke-Thompson attended the opening to cut the ribbon and declare the store officially open.
Jamie Davison, head of new business and store development at Bestway Retail, said: “This store is our second pioneering concept store for Costcutter and Bargain Booze which is an exciting milestone for us as a business. The concept aims to meet the needs of our customers so they are able to buy everything they need across a full day.”
Bestway said it has plans for the development of further hybrid concept stores which will be announced at a later date.
