Berry Bros. & Rudd increases stake in Anchor Distilling Company
Wine and spirit merchant Berry Bros. & Rudd has increased its shareholding stake in Anchor Distilling Company
Together with Tony Foglio, the family-owned merchant has purchased co-owner Keith Greggor’s shares in the San Francisco based premium craft spirits business.
The news follows the recent announcement regarding the sale of the brewing arm of Anchor Brewers & Distillers to Sapporo Holdings, Japan’s oldest beer brand.
Berry Bros. & Rudd’s chief executive Dan Jago said: “This is incredibly exciting news for Berry Bros. & Rudd. Not only has ADC experienced strong, profitable and consistent growth in revenue of more than 500% over the past few years.”

Dennis Carr, president and chief executive of Anchor Distilling Company, will continue in his existing role following the purchase.
