Badiani continues to expand with new Balham store
Gelato brand Badiani is continuing its expansion with the opening of a new shop in London’s Balham.
Due to launch on 6 July, the Hildreth Street store will be the brand’s 11th in the UK and will be the first to sell fresh, made-to-order pasta, alongside its usual range of gelato, desserts and pastries.
The new south London outpost will feature a vibrant, traffic light green exterior, and will include some indoor seating as well as space for al fresco dining.
The fresh pasta dishes will include options such as cacio e pepe, bolognese, carbonara, and truffle tagliatelle as well as pomodoro and basil gnocchi, pesto casarecce, and butter and sage ravioli. Takeaway and delivery services will be available for local customers.
Massimo Franchi, Badiani’s chief executive, said: “We are thrilled to bring the Badiani experience to Balham. This opening is a significant step in our expansion journey, and we are excited to introduce our award-winning gelato and now, our made-to-order fresh pasta, to the Balham community.”
Badiani has been serving up authentic Italian gelato since 1932.
Richard Thomas, director of agency at Shelley Sandzer, said: “Badiani has established itself as a London favourite when it comes to artisanal gelato, and there is no doubt it will thrive in the heart of Balham’s lively F&B hub. Mixed with families and young professionals, this is the perfect location for the brand as it continues to expand its South London presence.”
