Asda to offer 15p Christmas vegetables this week

Asda is cutting prices of key Christmas vegetable lines to 15 pence in the run-up to Christmas.

From Thursday 19 December, customers will be able get 1kg carrots (currently 69p), 500g sprouts (currently 85p), 360g broccoli (currently 79p) and 500g parsnips (currently 75p) for the reduced price until Christmas Eve.

Having run a similar price cutting initiative in previous years, the supermarket will be including 2kg potatoes in the offer for the first time (currently £1.35). Asda said this means that customers will be able to slash  £3.68 off their final bill for key Christmas dinner sides.

The new prices will be available both in stores and online.

Asda is also offering its British Whole Fresh Turkeys at a cheaper price than last year at £3 per kg.
