Asda launches two new vegan ranges

Asda has launched two new vegan ranges this month as it looks to appeal to customers who are seasoned vegans or wanting to cut down on their meat consumption.

Containing over 112 products, the OMV! range will offer meatless meals and snacks, while the Plant Based range will provide nutritionist-approved meat alternatives.

Some 86 products will be offered both in-store and online from January, with the full range becoming available throughout the year.

Across the OMV! range, customers can purchase items such as Hot & Spicy No Chicken Burgers (£2.25), Brioche Burger Buns (£1.15) and No Prawn Sandwich (£2.75)

Meanwhile the Plant Based range will include products like Asda Bacon style rashers (£2) and Asda Chick*n Caesar Wrap (£2.75).

The supermarket has appointed meat-loving Married at First Sight star Zoe Clifton as the ambassador for the ranges. Clifton has agreed to go vegan for the month of January, eat products from the ranges, and share her verdict on vegan cuisine, while being supported by her plant-based partner Jenna.
