Asda bolsters leadership team with two senior hires
Asda has hired two new senior leaders to help drive its growth ambitions in 2025.
The supermarket has appointed Lauren Lepley as vice president central operations and Mark Henry as vice president retail south.
Lepley will join the business in early December after previously working with the Morrisons supermarket as group supply chain director. Her 14 years grocery sector experience has also included various roles at Tesco.
Meanwhile, Henry brings over 25 years operational experience to Asda, including international experience as chief operating officer at Lidl Finland, and most recently as group asset protection lead at Marks & Spencer.
Both of the new hires will report to Asda’s new chief operations officer, Matt Heslop, who will join the business in January.
Lord Rose, Asda chairman, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Lauren and Mark to Asda. They both bring a wealth of retail experience and proven track records in delivering operational excellence. This will be invaluable as we strengthen our business and deliver our long-term growth ambitions.”
