Aldi to open 11 new UK stores in the run-up to Christmas
Aldi is to open 11 new stores across the UK between now and Christmas.
The move forms part of the supermarket’s plans to reach a long-term target of 1,500 stores across the UK, which has included an investment of £800 million this year alone.
This month, Aldi will be launching shops in Sedgley in the West Midlands, Castle Douglas in Scotland, Horsham in West Sussex and Muswell Hill in London. These will be followed by openings in Totton in Hampshire, Cribbs Causeway in Bristol, Pwllheli in Gwynedd and four other sites before Christmas.
The supermarket is also planning to refurbish more than 15 stores between now and Christmas to enhance the customer experience.
Jonathan Neale, real estate managing director at Aldi UK, said: “At Aldi, we’re committed to making high-quality, affordable food accessible to everyone.
“Our new store openings are a testament to our ongoing investment in the UK, and we’re thrilled to bring Aldi’s unbeatable prices to even more communities ahead of the festive season.”
