Aldi to create 1,000 logistics jobs

Aldi is to create around 1,000 logistics roles across UK in the coming 12 months.

The supermarket is working to expand its distribution, transport and maintenance teams at its 11 regional distribution centres with both full-time and part-time positions.

The new roles will carry salaries of up to £19.80 per hour.

The move forms part of Aldi’s nationwide expansion drive which is expected to create 2,000 UK permanent roles this year.

Aldi currently has more than 960 stores and employs around 38,000 people across the country.

Kelly Stokes, recruitment director at Aldi UK, said: “As we continue to grow and make Aldi accessible to even more shoppers, we need more amazing colleagues at our distribution sites across the country to make that possible.

“As well as market-leading pay and benefits, being an Aldi colleague means a great working environment and real opportunities to progress within the business. We look forward to welcoming even more great people to our distribution centres to become a part of our success.”
