Aldi reveals where it will open 12 new stores before Christmas
Aldi has announced the locations of the 12 new stores it will be opening between now and Christmas.
Having launched its 1,000th UK store in Woking last month, the supermarket will be opening one new store a week on average between now and the end of the year.
As part of its long-term target of having 1,500 stores in the UK, Aldi is set to invest £1.4 billion in expanding its UK footprint over the next two years. Each new store will create around 40 jobs.
George Brown, real estate director at Aldi UK, said: “We’re welcoming more and more customers through our doors each week, which is why we’re investing in new stores up and down the country to bring our great value groceries to even more people and meet the growing demand for Aldi.
“Shoppers know they’ll always get more for their money when they shop with us, and we’re confident Aldi’s success will continue to grow.”

- Gateway Retail Park, Reading
- Alvis Retail Park, Coventry
- Broadway Green, Chadderton
- Westway Retail Park, Cumbernauld
