Zara to join line-up at Battersea Power Station

Fashion retailer Zara is to open  a new store at London’s Battersea Power Station later this year.

The shop will be situated on the site’s Electric Boulevard, London’s newest high street.

Spanning 48,800 square feet, it will be Zara’s first central London store south of the river in central London.

Zara is the latest fashion retailer to commit to joining the line-up at Battersea Power Station. Others taking space include the likes of Ray-Ban, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, The Kooples, Mango, Reiss, Aēsop and Calvin Klein.

Customers visiting the shop will be able to browse all of Zara’s product ranges under one roof, including womenswear, menswear, childrenswear and home collections.

Battersea Power Station’s retail and leisure offering is due to open this September. It will be home to over 100 retail shops, restaurants and cafés, including a 18,500 square foot food hall concept, as well as offices, event spaces and 254 residential apartments.

Simon Murphy, chief executive at Battersea Power Station Development Company, said: “We are creating a completely new high street for London and to have an internationally renowned high street brand like Zara open a significant store in the UK and the first store south of the river in central London at Battersea Power Station is a testament to the continued desirability of this unique project.

“With our very own London Underground station and river bus pier, we’re also set to be one of the best-connected shopping, dining and cultural areas in the capital and we look forward to welcoming visitors to Battersea Power Station from September of this year.”
