Zalando hires Pascal Brun as vice president of sustainability and D&I
Online fashion retailer Zalando has appointed Pascal Brun as its new vice president of sustainability and diversity & inclusion.
A textile and apparel industry expert, Brun has joined the business from H&M where he worked for 16 years, most recently as head of sustainability.
At Zalando, he will report to Padmaja Bommareddy, SVP of corporate development, and will be responsible for driving Zalando’s commitment to sustainability and D&I. This will include bringing the sustainability and D&I teams together under one strategic umbrella.
Speaking of his new role, Brun said: “I am thrilled to embark on this new journey at Zalando. The new setup – embedding sustainability and D&I in the strategic heart of the Zalando organisation – will give my team the right lever to contribute meaningfully in the near and long term future, by building upon the great foundation work that has been done in the last years.”
Bommareddy added: “We are very excited that Pascal has joined our team, as he shares our strong passion for creating a more equitable and sustainable world for future generations and enabling the fashion industry to drive positive change.”
Founded in Berlin in 2008, Zalando has more than 50 million active customers in 25 markets.
