Zalando expands sustainable fashion ranges

Zalando is expanding its sustainable fashion ranges to meet customer demand.

Its sustainable assortment currently consists of more than 15,000 items from over 240 brands. These include the likes of Mother of Pearl, Filippa K, Patagonia and Veja.

In the coming weeks, Zalando will be extending the range to include Ecoalf, Mud Jeans, Swe-s, Girlfriend Collective, and Stripe + Stare.

Zalando highlights items made with more sustainable materials or those with certificates by using a sustainability flag.

Sara Diez (pictured), vice president of womenswear at Zalando, said: “Our ambition is to provide customers with a bigger assortment to choose from, clearer information to choose with, and all the inspiration they need to make more sustainable choices. Onboarding these new brands is an important step on our journey, and we’ll focus on adding more sustainable choices to our assortment in the upcoming months.”
