Zalando expands into Lithuania, Slovakia and Slovenia
Zalando has launched its online platform for fashion and lifestyle into the new markets of Lithuania, Slovakia and Slovenia this week.
The company said the move marks another milestone in its strategy to become the “starting point for fashion” in Europe.
Customers in all three countries will benefit from free deliveries and free returns for up to 30 days after purchase and will be able to choose between the preferred payment options in each market. In addition, they will experience the platform, including as pre and post-purchase customer support, in Lithuanian, Slovakian and Slovenian.
Zalando is inviting local brands in all three countries to apply to join its partner programme to enable them to start selling their products online across Europe.
Lisa Miczaika (pictured), vice president of central Europe at Zalando, said: “We are very excited to welcome customers in Lithuania, Slovakia and Slovenia, bringing them the most exciting fashion choices with the best convenience proposition and experience in their markets. For us, the launch of our platform in the three countries is a major step toward being the starting point for fashion in Europe and opening up the Zalando universe to even more customers.”
During the next few weeks, the company will be launching social-first marketing initiatives with local influencers and partners in the countries.
Zalando is also planning to expand into Croatia, Estonia and Latvia later this year and Hungary and Romania in 2022.
