Zalando builds programme for collaborating with startups
Zalando, the German online fashion retailer, has set up a online platform to integrate technology from startup businesses as a means of inspiring customers and personalising their shopping experience.
This will include solutions in the areas of sizing and fitting, styles and outfits and website content.
One of the company’s first partnerships is with Israeli startup Bllush which connects social media images of top influencers to the Zalando fashion store with all of the images shoppable.
The functionality is being tested within the sports category of the retailer’s German site and further partners and local fashion stores are expected to be integrated and tested in the coming months.
Marc Lamik, head of partnerships at Zalando, said: “Creating a better customer journey means providing a more inspiring and personalised fashion experience. With Zalando Build, we will partner up with the fashion ecosystem by integrating startup solutions and innovations into the Zalando fashion store.”
