Yoox-Net-A-Porter Group hires global operations director

Yoox-Net-A-Porter Group has appointed Mirko Nobili as global operations director.

In his new role, Nobili will be responsible for the online retail group’s proprietary hub-and-spoke omnistock logistics model that is now implemented across 180 countries.

He will also lead the digital production function which includes the use of AI and robotics engineering to create a visual image library of products across the group’s online stores.

Federico Marchetti, chairman and chief executive of Yoox-Net-A-Porter Group, said: “For two decades, delivering exceptional customer service has been at the heart of the Yoox-Net-A-Porter Group approach. It remains as important as ever today to our group and a major differentiator in the luxury fashion sector – for both clients and brands.

“Mirko brings outstanding levels of expertise and a strong track record in delivering operational excellence at a global scale. Together with the wider executive committee, he will play an integral part in delivering our mission to connect people with the joy of luxury and fashion that lasts a lifetime and beyond.”

Nobili previously worked for seven years with Burberry where his most recent role was vice president of global customer fulfilment. Prior to that, he held a range of senior operations roles at Nestlé Italiana and Lactalis Group.
