Wyse London hires Kara Groves as chief executive

Wyse London has appointed Kara Groves as its new chief executive.

With over 15 years of executive experience, she previously worked in the same role at B-Corp baby brand Bambino Mio where she led a repositioning and was responsible for reinvigorating growth and sales pipelines.

Earlier in her career, Groves was chief operating office at Mint Velvet and chief commercial officer of Joules.

At Wyse London, she will be responsible for driving the fashion brand’s UK direct-to-consumer business whilst also looking to expand further in the US market.

She has succeeded Suzy Slavid who left the company earlier this year to become trading managing director at River Island, but will also be a non-executive director of Wyse London.

Commenting on her appointment, Groves said: “I’m delighted to be joining Wyse London as CEO. What I find most rewarding is working with founder-led businesses – Marielle is a real inspiration and brings energy and life to so many creative aspects of the brand as well as a laser-focused attention to detail.

“Our mindset will remain customer centric – we deeply understand our loyal customer base and will continue to cultivate grow and evolve with her needs.  We like to push boundaries and elevate wherever we can.  We are looking forward to expanding our presence both here in the UK and in the US market.”
