White Stuff cuts nearly 400 jobs
Fashion brand White Stuff has cut 390 jobs within its retail team and head office as part of a restructuring plan.
Some 290 store staff are losing their jobs as are 100 people working in the company’s head office.
White Stuff has been working to become a more online driven business in recent months and said this process has been accelerated due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
White Stuff began consultations with affected staff in May.
At the time, White Stuff chief executive Jo Jenkins told Drapers: “We need to face into the reality, particularly given the ongoing uncertainty of when and how shops might perform given social distancing, that we need a leaner, more agile operating model that allows us to react to changing customer behaviour.”
