Weekday opens Helsinki store

H&M owned Weekday has made a return to Finland by opening a new store at the REDI Shopping Centre in Helsinki.

The 620 square metre store, which is spread over two floors, features an updated store concept as it looks to offer an “unconventional and inspiring” shopping experience for customers.

David Thörewik, managing director of Weekday, said: “We are thrilled to return to Finland, and especially excited to open in the vibrant and stylish district of Kalasatama. We can already see through our online shop that Finnish customers really appreciate our brand experiences and seasonal collections, so we are happy to bring a physical store back to Finland.”

To celebrate the opening, Weekday held a party where it showcased its exclusive Zeitgeist collaboration collection. Only available during the opening weekend, Zeitgeist was made in collaboration with director and photographer Viivi Huuska, make-up artist Miika Kemppainen, visual artist Liisa “Munalissu” Vääriskoski and DJ Farrél, all of whom are local to Helsinki.
