Watches of Switzerland Group announces board changes

Watches of Switzerland Group has announced that Fabrice Nottin and Michele Rabà have decided to step down from their roles as non-executive director and board observer of the group.

Nottin is a partner at Apollo Management International from where he led the acquisition of the group by Apollo-affiliated funds in March 2013. He then became the Apollo representative director of the group on its admission to the London Stock Exchange in  2019.

Also a partner at Apollo, Rabà has been involved in the investment by Apollo-affiliated funds in the group from the outset and was a director of the group until its IPO.

Brian Duffy, Watches of Switzerland Group chief executive, said: “It has been a pleasure to work with Fabrice firstly as the main player from Apollo pre-IPO and then as a non-exec director following our listing. Fabrice and the Apollo team know this market and the WOS Group business very well and their advice and input have directly contributed to our success.”

Apollo said it will not be appointing a replacement representative director or board observer at this stage. The board continues to be led by non-executive chairman Ian Carter.
