Vagabond ventures into clothing
Footwear brand Vagabond is venturing into clothing by launching a women’s leather jacket.
In a statement, the Swedish business said it is expanding its repertoire by creating an “ultimate companion” to its boots by using its many years of expertise in working with leather. The jacket was designed by Vagabond’s in-house team then handcrafted in Portugal in a limited number.
Marie Nilsson Peterzén, creative director and co-founder of Vagabond Shoemakers, said: “When developing the jacket, it was a given that we would work in leather. Since this is a material that we have been using for decades and eventually have become experts at, it felt like the natural step to create a leather jacket. Vagabond makes quality products that can be worn and loved for a long time. No doubt leather has unique features when it comes to withstanding wear and tear and become a true wardrobe hero.”
