Uniqlo to open Philippines flagship store
Uniqlo is to open a new flagship store in the Philippines this autumn as it pursues its growth targets in South East Asia.
Situated in the Makati district of Manila, the shop will be the fashion retailer’s biggest store in the region and its 15th global flagship store in its 11 markets around the world.
Satoshi Hatase, chief executive of Uniqlo Southeast Asia and Oceania, said: “We are honoured and excited to open our first Uniqlo global flagship store in the Philippines. Having been a member of the local retail scene since 2012, we remain committed to contributing to the local community and to being an integral part of Manila’s growth and future.”
Set over a sales floor area of 4,100 square metres, Uniqlo Manila will feature large visual displays and state-of-the-art design concepts. As with Uniqlo’s other flagship stores, the shop will also showcase the brand’s full array of ‘Life Wear’ for men, women, children and babies.
Hatase added: “This exciting new retail environment and experience will put our Manila business in the global spotlight. We sense growing enthusiasm in the community here and hope to share the very best of Filipino lifestyle, culture and optimism with the world through our flagship store.”
