Uniqlo to open first store in Italy in September
Japanese clothing retailer Uniqlo has announced the opening date for its first bricks-and-mortar shop in Italy.
Due to open on 13 September, the store on Milan’s Piazza Cordusio will showcase the retailer’s LifeWear ranges and promote the Uniqlo brand.
Kohsuke Kobayashi, chief operating officer of Uniqlo Italy, said: “We are very honored and proud to open our first Italian store in Milan. We hope that our LifeWear philosophy and products will be accepted well with the sophisticated Milanese population and indeed the many Italian and international visitors who come to Milan throughout the year.”
Uniqlo already sells its clothing in Italy through its online store. The Piazza Cordusio store will sell items for men, women, children and babies.
