Uniqlo to open first Midlands store at Bullring

Uniqlo is to open its first store in the Midlands at Birmingham’s Bullring.

The clothing retailer’s 20,000 square foot flagship will span three floors and have a trading space of 11,840 square feet.

The store will stock the brand’s full range of womenswear, menswear and kidswear, as well as its Uniqlo LifeWear collections.

Alessandro Dudech, chief operating officer of Uniqlo UK, said: “Uniqlo continues to invest in the UK retail landscape, growing our footprint and e-commerce across the nation.

“Bringing the brand to the Midlands for the first time is a key strategic step for us, and Bullring’s prominent position in the UK’s second city made for the ideal location.”

Never Miss a Retail Update!

The news follows ongoing investment in Bullring from a range of international brands, including Zara’s new 51,000 square foot flagship, Sephora’s Midlands debut, and Pure Seoul’s second store outside London.

Paul O’Brien, director of leasing & commercialisation at Hammerson, said: “Bullring continues to attract best-in-class global brands seeking a flagship presence in the region, reinforcing its position as the leading Midlands destination.

“Uniqlo is the latest brand to make a significant commitment to Bullring, reflecting the strength of our position, quality of the asset, and exceptional line-up of leading names in retail.”
