Uniqlo to open first flagship store in Beijing
Uniqlo is to open its first flagship store in Beijing this November.
The shop will be the Japanese clothing retailer’s third flagship store in mainland China.
Situated in the fashionable Sanlitun shopping district, the store will have a sales area of approximately 2,200 square metres across three floors and will sell a range of lines for men, women, children and babies. It will also feature an in-store implementation of Uniqlo’s “StyleHint,” a social retail experience that combines the real and virtual worlds.
Uniqlo said the store has been designed to incorporate art, science, culture and sustainability and will aim to offer customers inventive and unique retailing experiences.
Fast Retailing group senior executive officer and Uniqlo Greater China chief executive Pan Ning added: “As a wonderful city with a long history, Beijing inspires limitless creativity through its culture, traditions, inclusiveness, and innovation. Uniqlo sincerely hopes to join hands with Chinese consumers to showcase The Art and Science of LifeWear to the world through the Uniqlo Beijing Sanlitun global flagship store, and build a more dynamic, green and innovative future life together.”
Uniqlo opened its first store in China in September 2002 and is currently operating over 820 retail locations throughout the country, including two flagship stores in Shanghai.
