Uniqlo and Theory open joint store in Covent Garden
Uniqlo and its sister brand Theory have opened a major new joint store in London’s Covent Garden.
Spanning 1,450 square metres, the shop on Long Acre is situated withing a Grade II-listed former Victorian carriage hall that features an open courtyard and vaulted glass atrium. The store also has an entrance in Floral Street.
The space will showcase Uniqlo LifeWear and Theory clothing and also offers a range of experience-led features, including Uniqlo’s first UK in-store cafe.
Alessandro Dudech, chief operating officer of of Uniqlo UK, said: “It’s an honour to be opening in an area of London with such cultural and retail heritage and continuing to expand our UK presence in important retail locations. With such a strong footfall from both Londoners and tourists, we look forward to offering LifeWear to both new and existing Uniqlo customers.”
Meanwhile Theory’s 113 square metre space marks the next step in the premium brand’s UK expansion and takes the number of shops in the country to four.
