Under Armour to open first Northern Ireland store at The Boulevard
Sportswear brand Under Armour is to open its first physical store in Northern Ireland as part of plans to expand within Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
The brand will be launching a 2,589-square-foot shop at designer outlet The Boulevard in November.
Founded in 1996 with just a single shirt, Under Armour is now a global brand with high-profile sponsor partnerships with elite basketball, football and golf athletes.
The news follows The Boulevard’s best-ever trading period this summer when sales rose by 10% on last year. The centre has also recently seen longstanding tenant Next renew its lease and Molton Brown become a permanent tenant following a successful pop-up.
Paul McCann, asset manager at The Boulevard owner Lotus Property, said: “Year on year The Boulevard is consistently outperforming its own record-breaking sales figures and is shooting up the league tables against its counterparts across the UK and Ireland. We are excited to welcome Under Armour onboard.
“The sports and fitness categories have consistently performed well at The Boulevard. It’s something our shoppers want and the arrival of Under Armour will really strengthen our offering.”
