Under Armour appoints new managing director of Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Under Armour has appointed Kevin Ross as its new managing director of Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

In his new position, he will lead the development and execution of a regional omnichannel growth strategy and the delivery of on-brand consumer experiences as the brand targets sustainable high profitable growth in the region.

With nearly 20 years’ experience of growing brands such as Adidas, TaylorMade and Under Armour, Ross will join the business from YETI where he recently served as managing director of international. During his previous employment with Under Armour, he spent nine years serving in numerous senior roles.

His new position will see him report to Under Arnour president and chief executive, Stephanie Linnartz.

Commenting on his appointment, Linnartz said: “We are thrilled to welcome Kevin back to Under Armour. His experience leading growth strategy and business operations in the region gives me great confidence that he will continue to harness the momentum that we’ve been able to establish in EMEA.

“Kevin also brings back extensive knowledge about this iconic brand, which will allow him to step into this role with familiarity and conviction.”

Ross will join Under Armour on 12 February and will be based in its Amsterdam office.
