Under Armour appoints chief supply chain officer
Sportswear brand Under Armour has appointed former Gap executive Shawn Curran as chief supply chain officer.
Throughout his 30-year career at Gap Inc., Curran held several roles across the Gap portfolio of companies, including chief operating officer and head of global supply chain across all seven Gap Inc. brands. Most recently, he was Old Navy’s chief operating officer, where he oversaw over 44,000 team members across 1,200 stores and managed end-to-end operations, inventory management and sourcing.
At Under Armour, he will oversee end-to-end planning and go-to-market, product sourcing, manufacturing and quality, and global vendor base management, as well as distribution and logistics, global customs and trade, and warehousing.
He will report to Under Armour president and chief executive, Stephanie Linnartz.
Commenting on the appointment, Linnartz said: “With over three decades of experience, Shawn is a retail industry powerhouse who comes to Under Armour at this critical time with the breadth and depth of experience that we need to optimise the backbone of our business, the supply chain, to ensure that our consumers get the right products, at the right price, at the right time.”
Curran will join Under Armour on 16 October.
