Trouva pauses trading as owner seeks buyer

Online marketplace Trouva has paused trading as its owners explore a potential sale of the business.

According to Sky News, Project J has been working with accountancy firm RSM to find a buyer. Orders and sales have been paused during the search “to protect customers and sellers”.

Also owned by Fy!, the home and living marketplace, Trouva was acquired by Project J last year.

Jonathan Thomson, co-founder of Project J, told the news site: “This has been an incredibly difficult decision, but we have decided to focus our efforts on building the Fy! brand and explore options for the sale of Trouva.

Never Miss a Retail Update!

“By exploring a potential sale, we are creating an opportunity or Trouva to continue its journey. We believe this is in the best interests of the business, boutiques and team.”

Prior to being purchased by Project J, Trouva had three owners in the space of a year, including Made.com, then briefly Made.com owner Next, then Re:store.
