Ted Baker appoints retail HR specialist as non-exec director

Fashion brand Ted Baker has appointed retail HR specialist Helena Feltham as a non-executive director.

Feltham was previously people director at B&Q and prior to that held HR director roles at Jack Wills, Marks & Spencer, Topshop and Woolworths South Africa. Her prior positions also include a stint at executive search firm Odgers Berndtson where she covered senior appointments in both the public and private sectors.

Feltham is currently a serving director and trustee of The Retail Trust.

David Bernstein, Ted Baker executive chairman, said: “We are delighted that Helena is joining us at this important time for the business. Working with the board, Helena’s support and insight on implementing the recommendations from the independent HR policies and procedures review will be of great value.”

Earlier this month, Ted Baker said it was taking action to improve its HR policies and procedures. This followed the completion of an independent investigation by law firm Herbert Smith Freehills into allegations regarding the conduct of its founder and former chief executive, Ray Kelvin.
