Superdry hires interim chief financal officer
Superdry has appointed Benedict Smith as chief financial officer on an interim basis.
The news follows the company’s announcement last month that Nick Gresham had stepped down from the role with immediate effect.
Smith will take up his role on 2 November.
Currently a non-executive director of convenience retailer McColl’s, he has previously held chief financial officer roles at a range of retailers including Harrods, Hunter Boots and Game Digital.
Peter Williams, chairman of Superdry, said: “I am delighted we have secured an interim CFO with such extensive experience in senior finance roles in the retail sector. This is an important step in giving Superdry leadership and stability in a critical area of the business during an important time.”
