Strathberry appoints managing director

Luxury accessories brand Strathberry has appointed Martin Byrne as managing director as it aims towards a revenue of £100 million over the next three years.

With 20 years experience in managing and scaling brands in the jewellery and accessories sectors, he currently works as chief commercial officer at Monica Vinader. Prior to this, he was chief operating officer at Links of London and was also previously a director at Theo Fennell.

At Strathberry, he will be working to enhance the brand’s ecommerce capabilities, expand its retail presence and boost wholesale partnerships.

The brand has recently posted a 53% increase in annual turnover to £27 million following a 90% uplift in sales in North America. In addition, it has seen strong growth online in Japan and the Middle East with increases of 61% and 143% respectively.

Strathberry founders Leeanne and Guy Hundleby said:  “We are thrilled to welcome Martin Byrne to the Strathberry team during this exciting period of growth. Martin’s extensive experience in the luxury sector, coupled with his proven track record of driving growth, makes him the ideal candidate to help us capitalise on the numerous opportunities ahead.”

Byrne will take up his new position in November.
