St Martin’s Courtyard chooses love
St Martin’s Courtyard in Covent Garden is supporting London’s Pride celebrations by launching a pop-up store called Choose Love x Pride.
Situated at 9 Mercer Street, the shop will remain open until 7 July.
The store was founded by Help Refugees to raise funds for LGBTQI+ refugees and asylum seekers. The store sells just one item – a T-shirt featuring an iconic rainbow coloured ‘Choose Love’ logo which was designed for Help Refugees by Katharine Hamnett.
Speaking on behalf of Longmartin Properties, a joint venture between Shaftesbury and The Mercers’ Company, Simon Taylor said: “We are proud to be supporting the Help Refugees charity as it is in conjunction with such a major event in London. The launch of the Choose Love x Pride in London pop-up store was a great success and we are thrilled to bring the fun and colour of Pride to St. Martin’s Courtyard and Mercer Walk for everyone to experience.”
In the run-up to the Pride Parade, which takes place on 7 July, a range of events and promotions will held in conjunction with the Choose Love x Pride store. These will include multi-coloured makeovers from Smashbox and a free rainbow cocktail with the purchase of a main course at Bills in St. Martin’s Courtyard and Mercer Walk.
