Sosandar posts record revenues and growth across KPIs
Sosandar, the, the online women’s fashion brand, has reported that like-for-like sales for the six months to 31 March have shown a 268% increase on the same period in the previous year.
It has also announced that it expects full year revenue for the year to 31 March 2018 to be no less than £1.34 million.
The company said it brought in record monthly revenues in March and that the momentum has continued into the new financial year. Sosandar attributed the growth to successful marketing campaigns, particularly direct mail, and increased brand awareness.
Sosandar’s founders are Ali Hall and Julie Lavington, who previously launched and ran high street fashion magazine Look as editor and publishing director respectively. The brand’s celebrity fans include the likes of Holly Willoughby.
Hall and Lavington said: “We are delighted with the progress the business has made over the year to 31 March 2018. As a company early in its development, we are focused on increasing brand awareness and new customer acquisition and our KPIs show strong growth in these areas.”
Since the company’s admission to AIM in November last year following a reverse acquisition of Thread 35 by Orogen, it has expanded its product range and increased the quantity of stock ordered in commercially proven product lines.
The company said customers acquired in the last six months are repeat ordering more frequently and with a higher basket size.
Hall and Lavington added: “It is particularly pleasing that we recorded our highest monthly sales figure in March 2018 (which was subsequently beaten by a further 32% growth in April 2018), demonstrating that our business is less seasonal than peers, and the speed at which we are growing.”
