Sosandar makes good progress

Fashion retailer Sosandar has reported making good progress since its admission to AIM last November.

In a statement to be given at its AGM, the company said the momentum reported in its final results in July has continued over the rest of the summer without the need for extended discounted promotional activity.

The company also said the new autumn season has started well with strong trading across all product categories following the introduction of an extended product range. Higher ticket items such as coats and leather goods have performed particularly well.

Sosandar revealed that its PR activity has resulted in its fashion items being worn by an increasing number of high-profile celebrities and fashion influencers, which is helping to drive sales and grow brand awareness.

Bill Murray, non-executive chairman of Sosandar, said: “Sosandar has achieved a great deal in the time since its admission to trading on AIM in November 2017 and the board is delighted with the continued progress being made in all areas of the business.

“We are very pleased with trading so far during the year which has been in line with management’s expectations and we look forward to updating on the first six months of our financial year to 30 September 2018 in due course.”
