Sosandar hires new non-exec director

Sosandar, the online women’s fashion retailer, has appointed former The Hut Group chief marketing officer Andrew Booth as a non-executive director.

Booth has worked both in the UK and internationally across the retail, travel and media sectors. Most recently, he was chief marketing officer at UK online accommodation site owner The Late Rooms Group. Prior to that, his work at The Hut Group included leading the implementation of a customer centric, multichannel data driven marketing approach to accelerate growth.

Other previous roles include group marketing director at Time Out Group, vice president of marketing at Getty Images and global business development director at Wace Group.

Ali Hall and Julie Lavington, Sosandar joint chief executives, said: “Andrew comes with a wealth of experience in ecommerce. His experience in rapidly growing data driven businesses and strong relationships within the industry make him an invaluable addition to the board, as we continue to accelerate the growth of Sosandar.”

After being admitted to London’s AIM in November last year following a reverse acquisition of Thread 35 by Orogen, Sosandar has extended its product range and increased its sales to a record level.

Hall and Lavington previously launched and ran high street fashion magazine Look before setting up Sosandar.
