Simply Be launches podcast series: Shaping Success

Inclusive fashion brand, Simply Be is launching a new podcast series, hosted by Fleur East, who will be talking to some of the UK’s leading female icons as they share their remarkable journeys of perseverance and personal achievement.

The series is the result of a new content partnership between Simply Be and Platform Media, negotiated by the7stars. In the first episode of the 10-part weekly series, available Thursday 17 August 2023, East interviews Olympic champion Dame Denise Lewis, as she discusses her inspiration, heroes and the moments that made it all worth it.

Other upcoming guests appearing on Shaping Success include; Alex Light – body confidence and self-acceptance coach, Emily Scarratt – England Rugby star, Dr Zoe Williams, This Morning GP and author of You Grow Girl!, Munroe Bergdorf – model, writer and trans activist, Anna Richardson – Television presenter, writer and journalist, Mutya Buena – Sugababes icon and award-winning songwriter, Ellie Simmonds MBE – Double Paralympic gold medallist and Sports Personality of the Year, and Beverley Knight MBE – singer, songwriter and radio personality.

Simply Be head of marketing, Sinead Donohoe said: “Shaping Success is all about celebrating inspirational women, from all walks of life and in all their shapes and sizes. We worked closely with the7stars and Platform Media to build a podcast series that amplifies and celebrates influential and inspirational female voices, to really connect with our Simply Be audience in a fun and memorable way. We are delighted with the result.”

Shaping Success is about empowering women not just in fashion but in culture.

It extends Simply Be’s spring campaign ‘Serious About Shape’, created by House 337, which called for an end to badly fitting clothes.

Taylor Barr, Commercial Strategy Lead at Platform Media, said: “High-quality, thoughtfully produced branded entertainment is an incredibly powerful way for a brand to elevate its marketing strategy. Shaping Success is an inspirational podcast, which will reach, connect with, and engage Simply Be’s target audiences at the right times and in the right spaces. With a combination of fresh, exciting subject matter and high-profile talent, Shaping Success provides Simply Be with authentic and unique content that demands attention and will allow them to forge a deeper, more emotional bond with audiences.”

Vicky Crouch-Marlow, Client Partner at the7stars said: “Simply Be is all about championing women, so we wanted to create an engaging platform to build brand saliency and talkability with culturally relevant conversations. It’s great to work with brave brands that aren’t afraid to try something new and Shaping Success is a complete step change to what’s gone before in terms of creative and media, and we can’t wait to see it roll out.”

The podcast series is distributed on all major audio platforms, including Simply Be’s YouTube channel. Video cutdowns are also being shared across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok.
