Shoe Zone to host Black Friday Slipper Café

Footwear retailer Shoe Zone is providing shoppers with a place to escape the pressure of Black Friday with a pop-up Slipper Café.

Situated in the Hello Darling café on London’s Waterloo Road, the pop-up will provide visitors with the chance to relax with  with a cuppa and take part in a range of activities.

To enjoy the facilities, visitors will be asked to buy a pair of slippers. In return. they will receive unlimited tea and coffee all day long and have access to board games such as Snakes & Ladders and Connect 4. They will also be offered soft blankets and other home comforts in what will be a no-phone zone.

In addition, visitors will be able to personalise their slippers at a customisation station.

Naomi Shefford, head of digital at Shoe Zone, said: “This time of the year can be incredibly busy as we plan and buy for the festive period.

“We decided to create the Slipper Café as a simple reminder to take a break and spend time with loved ones playing a game and relaxing with a well-deserved cuppa.”
